The story begins
I have always been involved in lapidary from a young age from my grandmother and mother. Creating jewellery designs from stones fossicked from the earth and rivers collected throughout my childhood. The variety of stones I incorporate into my designs today have a history that I wish to share with each individual who purchases my jewellery as they are a part of me. I still use the tools my grandmother and mother used and the basic designs they passed on to me.
Who is Sandy?
I spent many wonderful holidays as a child rock hunting for gems stones and panning for gold throughout this wonderful country of ours. My mother and grandmother belong to the lapidary club and they both created jewellery. They pass on their love and knowledge to me and I continued with their tools and furthered my education in my craft. I worked as a graphic artist for 22 years and I am now directing my creative nature into one off designs of pieces I myself would love to wear.
